- Recommended prerequisites: INFO I101 Introduction to Informatics, INFO I201 Mathematical Foundations of Informatics
- Required textbook: Guide to programming with python, by Michael Dawson. (You may get the book from IU bookstore, or online)
Please do NOT use the CD from the book; get this package instead
- Course structure: The course will be taught in three classes each week: two lectures and one lab.

- Mid-term exam: 30%; Final exam: 15%; Final project (15%); Lab assignments: 25% (see details); Weekly quizzes: 15% (10% in-lab, 5% in-class) (Note: the lowest quiz grade & lab assignment grade will be dropped.)
